NSI was formed in 1996 and started doing business from a small rented warehouse in Washington, Missouri. In 1998, NSI purchased a larger building and relocated to their current facility in St. Clair, Missouri.

From 1996 to 2001, NSI's sales grew slowly, despite their expanded inventory. In the beginning of 2002, NSI started a program of management, marketing, and purchasing changes with the positive anticipation of growth.

NSI has completed many of these changes and is now growing rapidly. Inventory quantities and part coverages are increasing. In 2004, NSI added a new building increasing warehouse space by an additional 50%.

In 2005, NSI purchased and moved into a 15,000 square foot office building located adjacient to the existing warehouse buildings. This new office building will allow NSI ample room for future growth.

In 2006, NSI continued their expansion, by doubling their original warehouse size.

NSI has dramatically improved their Web presence and has added the capability for customers to: view inventory levels online, see pictures of all of NSI's parts, obtain part pricing and to do online ordering.
